The Brewhouse Inauguration

Trident Park and The Brewhouse inauguration ceremony marks the transformation of iconic Farsons brewery with €86 million investment Art Deco brewery has been reimagined by world-renowned London architect Ian Ritchie Trident Park and The Brewhouse were both officially inaugurated on Wednesday evening with an opening ceremony attended by the Prime Minister, Archbishop, and other dignitaries.

Our guests were guided through the most recent venue that opened at The Brewhouse and a reception was held after in the Brewhall which has been restored to its former glory.

The Farsons Brandstore – Official Launch Press Release

The Farsons Brandstore is a concept store presenting Farsons’ quintessential brands in a range of hip and trendy apparel, gifts and memorabilia. With a special focus on Cisk and Kinnie, sampling the large collection is a must for any beer fan.

The Lager Mash Tun

This is the base of 1 of 5 copper kettles found within the 1950 Brew Hall.

This kettle was called the Lager Mash Tun and was used to make mash for lager beers. The Mash Tun was where grist (ground-up malted barley) was mixed with hot brewing liquor (water) to create a thick porridge called mash. During mashing, the temperature is carefully controlled to allow the grist to release natural sugar into the brewing liquor. The kettle was kept at a constant high temperature to create wort (a sweet liquid of unfermented beer).

Former Farsons fermentation vats transformed into new co-working space

The Vats is a ‘creative ecosystem’.

Fermentation chambers which for decades brewed Malta’s best-known beers have been transformed into a new co-working space as part of the restoration of the iconic Farsons brewhouse.
